Mike was my first boyfriend at Reagan Elementary.
He was so popular and a big football stud. Back then we use to "go steady" and exchange id bracelets (which I still have).

My heart broke when I learned of Mike's passing. I called Mike's mother to offer my condolences and when she answered the phone I told her who I was and ask her if she remembered me and she said yes I do, "I'm looking at pictures of you and Mike right now standing in the front yard of this house". Needless to say chills went up and down my spine.

Mike I think of you often. Your friend Lisa Akins Jones

Mike was the reason I started IFOMN; the International Fraternal Order of Mike Nelsons. We were always getting mixed up together at Permian and I would get his phone calls sometimes. I only had him in one class in 3 years so I didn't get a good chance to get to know him. He hung around with a different crowd.

By the way, IFOMN has 79 Mike Nelson members and a website.

A kind and gentle spirit lied within this troubled heart.

I thought Mike was just the best looking thing I had ever seen way back at Reagan. May he rest in peace.
